2018 Chris Sailer Kicking HI Summer Camp Recap… Conor Hunt Wins It!

Chris Sailer Kicking made its final stop on the 2018 Summer Camp Tour in Oahu, HI on Sunday August 5th. All in all Chris Sailer Kicking & Rubio Long Snapping ran 10 camps this summer and worked with over 1,000 specialists. The 5th Annual Chris Sailer Kicking Hawaii Summer Camp was once again a tremendous success. This camp has now featured talented Hawaiian Kickers and Punters such as Ka’imi Fairbairn (UCLA, Texans), Jet Toner (Stanford), Adam Stack (Oregon), Alex Trifonivitch (Hawaii), Jeffrey Chan (Syracuse), Kekoa Sasoaka (Hawaii), Tim Horn (Washington commit) & more. This year’s group of specialists is just as special. Take a look at the results.

Overall ChampionConor Hunt (2020)
Conor has had a tremendous year with Chris Sailer Kicking. He jumped onto the national scene at Vegas XXXII in May. He then had a big time showing at the Underclassmen Invitational in Los Angeles, CA last month. And followed that up by winning the overall championship in Hawaii. On this day he won the Punt Competition by averaging 40+ yards with 4.3+ hang time. He was also impressive on both field goal and kickoff. Conor stepped in most in the end by defeating Tim Horn in a head to head battle. Conor is now considered a top 5 national combo prospect in the nation.

Field Goal Champion / Kickoff ChampionTim Horn (2019)
Tim has been a mainstay at the top of the Chris Sailer Kicking rankings since his freshman season. He is a special talent that doesn’t come along often. He is currently the #2 ranked kicker in America and has already committed to the University of Washington on full scholarship. He won the Vegas XXXI Overall Kicking Championship (300+ Kickers) in January and was also selected by Chris Sailer Kicking to participate in the 2019 Polynesian Bowl All-American Game. Tim hits a major D1 ball on both field goal and kickoff. On this day he won the field goal competition by going 8-8 with a long of 55 yards. He also easily won the kickoff competition by averaging 70+ yards with 4.1+ hang time.

Meet the “TOP 12” Class of 2017

In 2003, Chris Sailer Kicking established the biggest kicking, punting, and long snapping camp the world had ever seen, The National Kicking Competition.  The camp brought in the best of the best from across the nation to compete at one location.  The camp established credible recruiting rankings and evaluations for kickers, punters, and long snappers that college coaches across the country would use for years to come.  The camp, now simply known as VEGAS takes place in Las Vegas each year in January.
Every athlete comes with one major goal in common, making the prestigious “TOP 12”.  This is THE exposure list to be on for national exposure.  The twelve best underclassmen in the nation are identified for the Kicking/Punting positions.  The best of the best are then invited to the exclusive, invite only,“TOP 12” camp that following summer.  College coaches take notice, and scholarships are awarded.

To get an idea for what the “TOP 12” is all about, take a look at some of the very best over the years:  Ryan Succop (South Carolina & Tennessee Titans), Kai Forbath (UCLA, Lou Groza Award Winner, & New Orleans Saints), Dan Bailey (Oklahoma State, Lou Groza Award Winner & Dallas Cowboys), & Randy Bullock (Texas A&M, Lou Groza Award Winner, & New York Jets), Bryan Anger (CAL & Jacksonville Jaguars), Brad Nortman (Wisconsin & Carolina Panthers), Blair Walsh (Georgia & Minnesota Vikings), Justin Tucker (Texas, Baltimore Ravens & Super Bowl Champion), Jeff Locke (UCLA & Minnesota Vikings), Cody Parkey (Auburn, Philadelphia Eagles), Tress Way (Oklahoma & Washington Redskins), Ka’imi Fairbairn (UCLA, Lou Groza Award Winner & Houston Texans).  Just to name a few!

2016 U.S. Army All-Americans Selected! 2016 FBU Youth All Americans Selected!

The FBU Top Gun camp took place July 17-18, 2015 in Dublin, OH.  Over 1,000 of the world’s best athletes competed in Top Gun this year.  Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping ran 11 regional FBU camps in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Orlando, Dallas, Columbus, New Jersey and Miami searching for the nation’s best specialists.  Those athletes were invited to Top Gun to compete for the most prestigious All-American Games in the world for youth and high school athletes.  Over 150 specialists assembled in Ohio taking advantage of this massive opportunity.  Take a look at the results….

2021 FBU Youth All-American
Carter Davis (FL) – Carter is a special young talent.  Heading into only the 7th grade, he stepped up as if he were already in high school.  He hit field goals of 35, 40 and 45 yards to beat out Connor Lytton for this honor.  He excels mentally as much as physically.  Carter was a staff favorite from the start.  The future is bright for Carter.  The world will see him on center stage in San Antonio in January.

Other 2021 Standouts: Connor Lytton, Dom Pittman

2020 FBU Youth All-Americans
Hayden Olsen (GA) – Hayden is one of the most consistent field goal kickers that we have ever seen at this age.  Most importantly, he performs under pressure.  Now a back to back youth All-American, Hayden hopes to follow in the footsteps in the likes of Rodrigo Blankenship & Skyler Southam who both went on to become U.S. Army All-Americans.

Brock Travelstead (GA) – Brock is a FBU veteran. He came up just short last year, but wasn’t going to be denied this year.  He is a great young athlete with a very strong leg for his age.  Brock enjoys pressure and seems to do his best when the most is on the line.  He should excel in San Antonio.

Other 2020 Standouts: Tommy Christakos, Ian Stadtler, Paker Hannon, Kellen Grave De Peralta, Damian Chowaniec

Class of 2019 MVP
Griffin Crosa (OH) – Griffin was selected as the Class of 2019 MVP because of his ability to do all three skills at a high level.  He shows great future college ability as a kicker and punter.  Griffin is a talented player that should compete with the best in his class for years to come.

Other 2019 Standouts: Brayden Johnson, Jason Stricker, Brandon Dickerson, Hayden Hairston, Cole Johnson, Mason Molique, Billy McConnell

Class of 2018 MVP
Chris Dunn (NC) – Chris is a big time young talent.  He dominated all competitions throughout the weekend.  He already hits 55 yard field goals and puts the ball deep into the end zone on kickoffs.  Chris is a great athlete and competitor.  The future is bright.

Other 2018 Standouts: Nate Craft, Esteban Flores, Matthew Jaeger, Chanse Lanham, Justin Smith

Class of 2017 MVP
Adam Stack (HI) – Adam is proving early on that he is without a doubt a D1 scholarship pick.  The Chris Sailer Kicking top rated kicker and punter won both the field goal and kickoff competitions.  Adam is an early favorite to earn a spot as a 2017 U.S. Army All-American.  He is the real deal.

Other 2017 Standouts: Alex Usry, Cooper Graham, Liam Bunnell, Austin Burnham, Matt Hellen, Tristan Meyer, Billy Mitchell, Tyler Padilla, Brian Papazian, Marco Salani, Zach Stearns, Jacob Tanguay, Jake Brickell

2016 U.S. Army All-Americans
Punters
Drue Chrisman (OH) – Drue is a very impressive punter all the way around.  He has the size, strength and athleticism to dominate the next level.  He punts for excellent hang time and distance.  He consistently his 45 plus yard punts with 4.8 plus second hang time. He was the top punter over the course of the two days and the very first to be named U.S. Army All-American.  The Ohio State commit is going to be a great addition to the history of this prestigious game.

Marshall Long (NC) – Marshall stepped up big time and in the process earned his spot as an All-American.  He is big, tall, strong and athletic.  Marshall consistency punted the ball 45 plus yards with 4.6 second hang time.  When it came time to compete, he took down several punters that are already committed to major D1 programs.  He is a D1 scholarship pick and this selection will vault him into the national spot light.

Kickers
JJ Molson (Canada) – JJ was a favorite to earn a selection coming into Top Gun and he didn’t disappoint.  He hit consecutive field goals of 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 63 and 65 yards to earn the first U.S. Army All American kicking position.  The UCLA commit is a special one.  The long time Chris Sailer Kicking student is well deserving.

Skyler Southam (Utah) – Skyler Southam is the #1 kicker in the nation.  He defended that title with another outstanding performance.  His field goals and kickoffs are both superb.  Skyler dominates when it counts the most.  The BYU commit is a big time player that will make a difference in this game.

2014 Hawaii Summer Camp Recap Article

Chris Sailer Kicking has been running camps across the world for 15 years now.  Each and every year the talent and level of competition gets better and better.  One state that is a prime example of that is Hawaii.  After coaching and evaluating specialists from Hawaii in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the time had come to start the 1st Annual Hawaii Summer Camp!  The camp did not disappoint.  Take a look at the results.

Camp Champions:
Field Goal: Kekoa Sasaoka (Class of 2016) – Kekoa is not only a top kicking prospect in Hawaii, he is a top national kicking prospect.  His field goals are outstanding off the ground.  On this day he connected with ease from 55 yards out. His kickoffs are also near the very top of his class.

Kickoffs: Alex Trifonovitch (Class of 2015) – Alex is a fantastic Punter / Kickoff specialist.  The long time Chris Sailer Kicking had a solid all around performance on this day.  Kickoffs were 70+ yards with 3.9+ hang time.  Punts were 40+ yards with 4.7+ hang time.  Alex is a strong D1 prospect.

Punting: Jet Toner (Class of 2016) – The Chris Sailer Kicking “Event Elite” & #1 ranked punter in the nation once again proved why.  He hit many punts 50+ yards with 4.9+ second hang time.  He is also a solid kicking prospect.  Jet has a bright D1 future.

Other Standouts:
Class of 2015 – Gabriel Alves, Naia Graham, Max Wren, Thomas Sheridan
Class of 2017 – Adam Stack, Jeffrey Chan, Noah Alejando
Class of 2018 – Tyler Fukuroda
