Josh Plaster Wins the 2017 TX Summer Camp!

The 2017 Chris Sailer Kicking Summer Tour is officially underway. The first stop was Dallas, TX. As always, the talent did not disappoint. Well over 100 specialists gathered at Midlothian Heritage High School on June 30 ready to learn and compete. Take a look at the results.

Overall Camp Champion
Josh Plaster (2019, TX) – The longtime Chris Sailer Kicking kicker had his best performance yet. He nailed 6 consecutive field goals, including a long of 57 yards to win it! He is also very strong on kickoff and a more than capable punter. Josh continues to improve each time we see him and is proving that he is one of the best in the nation in his class.


Field Goal Champion

Jacob Meeks (2018, TX) – Jacob was impressive once again. He was recently invited to participate in the upcoming TOP 12 camp and he proved why. He hit 7 consecutive field goals including a long of 62 to win it. His kickoffs were also solid. He has an explosive leg and great college potential. Look for Jacob to pick up college offers soon.


Kickoff Champion

Blair Zepeda (2018, TX) – Blair is a big time talent. He is a great athlete with outstanding natural ability. He won the kickoff competition with a 77 yard, 3.85 second ball. He also shows he can hit a D1 ball on field goal. Blair is a real sleeper in this class, he has all the tools to be special at the next level.

 

Punt Champion
Mason Johnson (2019, AR) – Mason had a stellar all around day. He competed well in all competitions and came out on top for punting. He has a big leg and great potential. He won the punt competition by averaging over 45 yards, with 4.3 second hang time. He is also a top national kicking prospect. The future is bright for Mason with continued hard work.

Top 2017 Specialist
Cade Kostroun (TX) – Cade had another strong performance. The Chris Sailer Kicking commit is a good looking athlete with a very strong leg. He shows that he can hit a big ball and his consistency continues to improve. He has the ability to be a great college punter with continued hard work.

 

The Class of 2018 was very deep. John Mayers had another strong performance. He looked sharp on both field goal and kickoff. Clayton Stewart was dominant in all 3 areas. He continues to prove he is a top national kicking and punting prospect. Ty French was also a force to be reckoned with. He hits a D1 ball on field goal and drives the ball deep on kickoffs.

The Class of 2019 is really starting to take shape. Bijan Nichols lead the way. He has a D1 leg and big time potential as a kicker. JK Martin is a top combo prospect. Josh McCoy is always solid. Neal Koskay is a great athlete with big upside. Tyler Shearer is one of the most consistent field goal kickers in the nation. Brian Barber is an excellent punter. Drew Chilcoat was the top newcomer at the camp. Gabriel Lozano has the tools to be special.

2017 TX Spring Camp Recap, Stewart Shines!

The 2017 Chris Sailer Kicking Spring Camp has officially hit the half way point with the most recent stop in Dallas, TX.  This was the largest camp to date bringing in 75+ Kickers/Punters from over 10 states.  The camp was lead by Kansas commit Liam Jones, 5-Star rated kicker Blake Mazza & top junior college punting/kicking prospect Hunter Everett.  There was also a great balance of 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021 veterans and newcomers.   Take a look at the results.

Overall Camp Champion
Clayton Stewart (2018, TX) – Clayton is a remarkable talent.  He is big, tall, strong and athletic.  The combo player (K/P) continues to impress each time we see him, doing his best under pressure.  On this day he was the field goal champion by nailing over 90% of his field goals and showing range of up to 60 yards.  He also put kickoffs deep into the end zone and competed with the best during punt competitions.  Clayton has the tools to challenge for a TOP 12 spot this May in Las Vegas.  He is a D1 prospect.

Liam Jones (2018, OK) – The Kansas commit, TOP 12 Member & long time Chris Sailer Kicking student was absolutely dominant.  He has proven time and time again that he is clearly one of the very best in the nation.  He is strong, smooth, consistent and dominates under pressure.  On this day he won a major field goal competition by hitting nearly every field goal attempt and showing range up to 62 yards.  He won the kickoff competition by hitting several balls through the uprights with 4.0+ hang time.  He is beyond ready to play at Kansas.

Punt Champion
Cade Kostroun (2017, TX) – Cade had an outstanding day punting the football.  He is consistent and punts for solid distance and hang time.  His footwork is college ready and his confidence continues to climb. He shows all the tools to take his game to the next level.  On this day he averaged over 40 yards, with 4.4 plus hang time.  He won several competitions against the other punters then stepped up and won again against the entire group.  He is ready for the next level.

The future kicking, punting & long snapping stars gathered in Bradenton, FL for the 2016 Chris Sailer Kicking Underclassmen Invitation July 21-22, 2016.  Well over 150 participants from over 30 states and other countries in the classes of 2021, 2020, 2019 & 2018 traveled  to Florida to be a part of this prestigious invitation only camp.  This has become one of our most popular camps of the year!  It is the ultimate chance for both athletes and their parents to bond, build friendships and learn about the world of kicking, punting and long snapping.  The future is looking bright with this group! Carson Garrett (2019, TX) – Carson is an excellent young kicker.  He is a great athlete with elite leg strength.  He is already hitting a college level ball off the ground on field goals.  He is also very strong on kickoff and also showing punting ability.

Ashton Garner – (2018, MS) – Ashton is a talented rising junior.  He has a big leg and competes very well under pressure.  He has all the tools to compete with the best in his class.  Ashton is an athlete with great upside.

Griffin Crosa (2019, OH) – Griffin is an outstanding young kicker.  He has a strong leg and kicks with great technique and consistency.  The long time Chris Sailer Kicking student is always a steady performer.  He is stepping up more and more with each camp.  The future is bright for Griffin.

Class of 2018
Wesley Wells (2018, GA) – Wesley is a gifted specialist.  Another great athlete with strong potential.  He shows he can hit an elite ball off the ground and also competes very well.  There is a lot of upside here. I expect Wesley to continue to develop into one of the best.

Kickoff Champion

Brayden Narveson (2018, TX) – Brayden is a big time talent.  He has an explosive leg and tremendous natural ability.  He hits a strong ball off the ground on field goals and competes with the best on kickoffs.  His best ball on the day was 64 yards with 4.07 hang time.  And he has only scratched the surface of what he is capable of.

Class of 2019 & Younger
Carson Garrett (2019, TX) – Carson proved his all around ability by also stepping up and winning the punting competition for his division.  Carson is a outstanding future prospect.

Class of 2018
Evan McPherson (2018, AL) – Evan won not 1, but both major competitions on this day.  He is a top national combo player (K/P) prospect in this class.  His field goals are outstanding off the ground.  His kickoffs are elite.  And he is a tremendous punter.  Evan has all the tools.  Look for big things in the future from him.

Top Gun – 2017 U.S. Army & Youth All-Americans

The nation’s best made their way to Rock Hill, SC to compete for the most prestigious Youth and High School All-American Games in the nation.  FBU in partnership with Chris Sailer Kicking hosted their annual Top Gun Camp for specialists July 14-15, 2017.  Over 1,300 athletes in all will participate in this camp before all is said and done.  At stake, four high school U.S. Army All-American, two ninth grade FBU All-American and two 8th grade FBU All-American selections for kickers/punters.  Specialists form all over the United States met up in SC to battle for the honor.  Take a look at the results.

Brandon Ruiz (AZ) – The #1 ranked kicker in the nation and Alabama commit dominated the field.  His field goals are elite and his kickoffs are ready for SEC ball right now.  He defeated Jonathan Doerer (NC) and Chris Landgrebe (OH) in the finals to earn one of the coveted spots.  Look for Brandon to have a large impact on the game.

Joseph Bulovas (LA) – The #2 ranked kicker in the nation and Georgia Tech commit was on fire from start to finish.  He has 60 yard field goal range and hits his kickoffs deep into the end zone.  Joseph is a tremendous athlete that does extremely well under pressure.  He is well deserving of this honor and will represent the East very well.

Punters:
Tucker Day (TN) – The #1 ranked punter in the nation showed proved why he is deserving of that rank once again.  He easily had the strongest leg of all the punters and hit the biggest ball.  HIs strength and consistency earned him the spot in the end.  He defeated Tommy Martin (VA) in the final by nailing a 60 yard punt with 4.84 second hang time.  Tucker has NFL type talent.

Joseph Doyle (TN) – Tennessee made it a clean sweep at the punting position with Joseph’s phenomenal performance.  He was the most consistent punter over the course of the two days and it paid off in the end.  He average over 40 yards with 4.6 plus hang time.  He also stepped up under pressure and defeated other major D1 prospects.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl will take place on January 7, 2017 at the Alamo Dome in TX.  The game will air on NBC.

BT Potter (SC) – Talented athlete with a big time leg.  He dominated most on kickoffs.

Dillon Fedor (NV) – Dillon is a special talent.  He did an excellent job over the course of the two days.  Whichever team he lands on will be in good hands.

Parker Hannon (GA) – The longtime FBU and Chris Sailer Kicking specialist came through in the clutch.  He has a great leg for his age and kicks with great consistency.

Class of 2021 FBU Youth All-Americans
Andrew Borregales (FL) – He is an excellent young kicker.  Kicks with great technique and does well under pressure.

Carter Davis (FL) – The longtime FBU and Chris Sailer Kicking specialist earned All-American Honors for the second straight year.  He does an excellent job.

The FBU Youth All-American Bowls will take place at the Alamo Dome in TX.
