2019 CA Fall Camp Recap – Ben Falck Steps Up!

The 2019 Chris Sailer Kicking Fall Camp Tour continued this past weekend in Los Angeles, CA. This Fall CSK along with Rubio Long Snapping will make stops in NC, NJ, WA, Southern CA, TX, IL, AZ, GA and Northern CA on the road to Vegas XXXV (January 18-19, 2020). All in all 1300+ Specialists are expected to participate in the largest season circuit in the history of the company. At the end of it all, Chris Sailer Kicking will once again name the 1st 20 Kickers/Punters selected to participate in the prestigious TOP 12 Invitation Only Camp at Vegas XXXV. And for the first time ever, Chris Sailer will select 2 Kickers and 2 Punters to play in the All-American Bowl on NBC live on location at Vegas XXXV. Hang on as this is going to be an incredible ride.

Overall Camp Champion
Ben Falck (JC, CA) – Ben had by far his best performance at a Chris Sailer Kicking Camp. He is big, tall, strong and athletic. On this day he won the Kickoff Competition by averaging 70 yards, with 4.0 hang time. His field goals were also excellent. Ben hits a clean ball off the ground and easily has 55+ yard range. He is also a big time punting talent. Once his consistency improves in this area… watch out. His best ball measured 55 yards, with 5.07 hang time. Ben is one of the very best Junior College Combo prospects in America. OFFER NOW!!!

Punt Champion
Brenden Segovia (2021, CA) – The Top 12 Camp Invitee and 2019 Underclassmen Invitational Punt Champion was back at it again. The lefty has as much overall talent as any 2021 prospect in the nation. He won the Punt Competition by averaging 45+ yards, with 4.5+ hang time. He also hit several balls 50+ yards, with 5.0+ hang time. Brenden is also special on kickoffs. He routinely puts the ball in the end zone with 4.0+ hang time. His field goals are impressive. Brenden is a big time talent that won’t last long. OFFER NOW!!!

Jarrett Reeser (2021, CA) – The long time Chris Sailer Kicking had a dominant performance. Jarrett hits a big time D1 ball on field goal. He gets the ball up quick and is deadly accurate. He won the Field Goal Competition by hitting from 35, 40, 45, 50, 52 and 53 yards out. Jarrett is also strong on kickoffs. He is a great competitor that thrives under pressure. Look for Jarrett to compete with the best of the best at Vegas XXXV in January and challenge for a TOP 12 Spot.

Chris Sailer Kicking Featured Instructor – Aaron Perez

Here we are in the second week of this new series where we feature our amazing instructors. This will allow you learn more about these young men and why they have been chosen to represent CSK nationwide.

Week 2: Chris Sailer Kicking Senior Instructor and head of Punting, Aaron Perez!

Aaron Perez is a former punter and professional soccer player. He has been on staff with Chris Sailer Kicking since 2005.

Aaron was born Covina, CA and attended Charter Oak High School there. He was a PrepStar All-American, Ranked No. 3 Punter in the nation and a three-star prospect by rivals.com. He was also selected twice to be 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-CIF Southern Section and no surprise that he was selected three times for the 1st Team All-League.

As a senior, he averaged 42.9 yards per kick, placed 11 punts inside the 20-yard line and had a long punt of 83 yards.

Aaron also lettered three years in soccer for coach Richard Siciliano
Played for the LaVerne Lazers soccer club which was ranked among the top 25 in the nation.

He played college football for the UCLA for 2004 to 2008. He served as their punter from 2005 to 2008. He earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors, He also set a new school record with 286 career punts and 12,220 career punting yards and was on the Ray Guy Award watch list.

Perez didn’t disappoint once he graduated from UCLA. Eventually, he was offered a pre-season deal with the dynastic New England Patriots, but was beat out by an 11-year veteran. After a stint with the Miami Dolphins, Aaron went back to California and worked his way back into soccer.

Perez then made it with the OC Blues, starting 12 games in 2013 including a match in the U.S. Open Cup against the late Chivas USA. After stints with Minnesota United and Drogheda United, Aaron retired from soccer to join Chris Sailer Kicking as a full-time Punting instructor.

Aaron currently lives in Montclair, CA with his wife, Kelly and son, Finnley. He is the founder of The Punt Factory and tours the country Chris Sailer giving valuable instruction. He also offers private and group lessons throughout the year.

Ethan Moczulski (2022, WA) – Ethan had his best performance yet at a Chris Sailer Kicking Camp. From the first kick of camp to the last, he looked like he was ready to challenge for the #1 Kicker in the nation spot. He won both the Field Goal and Kickoff Competitions defeating the largest group of participants ever at a CSK WA Camp. He has 55+ yard range on Field Goal off the ground. Ethan gets outstanding height on his ball and is deadly accurate. His kickoffs measure 65+ yards with 4.0+ hang time. He is a big time competitor that has all the tools to dominate D1 football in the future. Look for Ethan to challenge for a TOP 12 Spot at Vegas XXXV, he is that good as an underclassmen. Big things ahead.

Tanner Nicklas (2020, WA) The CSK veteran won his second Punting Competition at the WA Camp. Tanner is big, tall, strong and athletic. He has an ideal D1 College Punting frame. He averages 40+ yards, with 4.2+ hang time. Tanner also shows that he can hit 45+ yard balls with 4.5+ hang time. His confidence in building with each camp. College football is in his future with continued hard work. He will compete with the best of the best at Vegas XXXV.

Overall Camp Champion – Luke Silvia (2020 MA)
Luke looked expolosive punting the football all day. He won the punt competition with a 55 yard ball with 4.7 hang time. He won the camp by showing his consisitency launching multiple punts over 45 yards and over 4.5 seconds of hang time. Look for him to have a strong showing at Vegas XXXV.

Field Goal Charting Champion – Bennett Abbe (2022, PA)
Bennett was by far the most improved athlete at the camp. He displayed impressive consistency and showed 50+ yard range. He has a knack for making high pressure kicks. Bennett has also improved his kickoffs showing the ability to drive kicks into the end zone.

Last Man Standing Field Goal ChampionTommy Dellaporta (2021, NY) This is the second time Tommy has won a major Field Goal competition at NJ Fall camp. He was smooth and accurate on field goal showing range of 50+ with ease. Tommy also exhibited the ability to hit his kickoffs and punts at high level.

Kick-off ChampionBrandon Peskin (2020, NY)
Brandon has big leg and was step above everyone on kickoffs. He won the Kickoff competition by consistently putting the ball deep into the end zone with excellent hang time. Brandon was also very strong at field goals and punts.

Chris Sailer Kicking Featured Instructor – Obi

This week we want to start a new series where we feature our amazing instructors. This will allow you learn more about these young men and why they have been chosen to represent CSK nationwide.

First up, Chris Sailer Kicking Senior Instructor and crowd favorite, Obi Egekeze!

Chukwuemeka “Obi” Egekeze is a former place kicker. He has been on staff with Chris Sailer Kicking since 2005.

Egekeze was born Augusta, Georgia. He attended Westside High School in Augusta, where he was a three-year starter in football, basketball and soccer. A place kicker and punter for the school’s football team, he was selected as an all-state player as a senior. Egekeze maintained an exceptional GPA and was therefore recruited to play college football by several major universities (Georgia, Ohio State, Texas & Penn State). He ultimately accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Maryland.

He played college football for the University of Maryland for 2006 to 2008. He was the team’s starting placekicker in 2007 and 2008, scoring 164 points, kicking 32 field goals and converting 68 consecutive extra points without a miss during the 2007 and 2008 regular seasons. He ranks tenth in scoring in the 100-plus-year history of the Maryland Terrapins football program.  

Twice Obi was selected as an Academic All-ACC player. He received his undergraduate degree in finance in May 2008 and Egekeze also received his MBA at University of Illinois Urbana soon after.

Obi currently lives in Charlotte, NC with his Fiance. He is a Finance Manager at Lowe’s Companies INC. and tours the country Chris Sailer giving valuable instruction. He also offers private and group lessons throughout the year.

History: The first Vegas Event took place in January of 2003. Thirty four total Vegas Events have since passed. An average of 500 specialists have attended each Vegas Event. 15,000+ specialists in total have attended Vegas Events. Thousands have gone on to play college football. Hundreds have made TOP 12. 40+ have started NFL games. Multiple players have won Super Bowls.
