2019 IL Fall Camp – Shirkey Dominates!

The 2019 Chris Sailer Kicking Fall Camp Tour continued this past weekend in Chicago, IL.  This Fall, CSK along with Rubio Long Snapping has made stops in NC, NJ, WA, Southern CA, TX, IL, AZ, GA and finally Northern CA on the road to Vegas XXXV (January 18-19, 2020). All in all 1300+ Specialists are expected to participate in the largest season circuit in the history of the company. At the end of it all, Chris Sailer Kicking will once again name the 1st 20 Kickers/Punters selected to participate in the prestigious TOP 12 Invitation Only Camp at Vegas XXXV. And for the first time ever, Chris Sailer will select 2 Kickers and 2 Punters to play in the All-American Bowl on NBC live on location at Vegas XXXV. Hang on as this is going to be an incredible ride.

Overall Camp Champion
Cameron Shirkey (2020, OH) – The TOP 12 Member once again came through with another huge performance. On this day he won the field goal competition by hitting on 7-8 with a long of 54 yards. He also averaged 65+ yards on kickoff, with 3.9+ hang time. Cameron is a gamer that excels under pressure. He continues to prove time and time again that he is ready for D1 football. OFFER NOW!!!

Kickoff Champion 
Kanon Woodill (2021, IL) – Kanon had a fantastic first camp with Chris Sailer Kicking. He is a great athlete with a live leg. He won the kickoff competition by averaging 65+ yards with 3.85+ hang time. His best ball measured 70 yards with 4.06 hang time. Kanon was also excellent on field goal. He gets the ball up well off the ground and easily has 50+ yard range. Look for Kanon to dominate Vegas XXXV in January and challenge for a TOP 12 Spot.

Punt Champion 
Garrett Junk (2021, OH) – Garrett proved from the start that he is a big time D1 Prospect. He is a great looking athlete with an ideal D1 Punting frame. He won the punt competition by averaging 40+ yards with 4.4+ hang time. His best balls measure 50+ yards with 4.8+ hang time. Garrett has all the tools to compete with the best punters in American in the Class of 2021. He is ready to compete with the best of the best at Vegas XXXV in January and should also challenge for a TOP 12 Spot.

Punt Champion
Cade Backe (2020, IL) – Cade was strong and consistent all day long. The senior is an excellent punter that is ready for the college level. Cade averages 40+ yards with 4.25+ hang time. His has quick hands and gets the ball off efficiently. Cade is also a solid kicker. Cade is one of the top punters in the nation that is ready to step in and compete at any college level.

Chris Sailer Kicking Featured Instructor – Erik Folk

This is our sixth week of a new series where we feature our amazing instructors. This will allow you learn more about these young men and why they have been chosen to represent CSK nationwide.

Week 6: Chris Sailer Kicking Senior Instructor, Erik Folk!

Erik Folk is a former placekicker. He has been on staff with Chris Sailer Kicking since 2003.

Folk attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, CA. He helped them to a 11-1 record and a Serra League championship as a senior in 2006. Folk’s team finished as the No. 6 team in the state, according to MaxPreps. He was named second-team all-area kicker, CalHiSports all-state third team, PrepStar all-region selection, booted 53-of-53 PATS and seven field goals as a senior, kicked a 56-yarder in 2006. He also kicked a 50-yarder in the 2055 season and was ranked No. 1 in state.

After high school, Folk played for the University of Washington. He is most remembered for kicking game-winning field goals to beat USC in 2009 and 2010. During the 2009 season, it was Folk’s 22-yarder with three seconds to play that made the difference in a 16-13 upset win over No. 3 USC.

Folk repeated his last-second heroics against No. 18 USC the following year, hitting a 32-yard game-winning field goal. He was named Pac-10 Special Teams player of the week on October 4, 2010.

After college, Folk was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons, but was released before the regular season.

Folk currently lives in Los Angeles, CA. He works the California camps and Las Vegas National Events with Chris Sailer giving valuable instruction.

He offers private and group lessons throughout the year for aspiring kickers and punters in Southern California.

Overall Camp Champion

Fabien Guillen (CA, 2020) – Fabien has arguably his best ever performance at this Chris Sailer Kicking camp. After sweeping both punt competitions, Fabien’s solid day continued in the overall camps finals. Fabien hit a 45 yard punt with 4.35 seconds of hang time to take home the “Camp Champion” title and claim his first ever full camp win. He was consistent all day on all punting fronts and showed major improvement with directional punting. A well deserved and earned camp win, expect this Top 12 punter to continue his dominance at Vegas XXXV.

Kickoff & Field Goal Champion 

Dante Jackson (CA, 2020) Dante absolutely crushed it all day with a clean sweep of all 3 kicking competitions. Dante went 8 for 8 in charting, won the last man standing competition with a 52 yarder. His Kickoffs were all 68-70 yards with a very consistent hang of 3.8 plus. Dante made a statement in Northern California and showed why he is one of the most talented kickers in his class!

Punt Champion 

Fabien Guillen (CA, 2020) – Fabien won both punting competitions on the day and was a model of consistency all day. Fabien got several balls 50+ with over 4.5 seconds of hang, picking up where he left off from the Los Angeles camp earlier this Fall. He was solid directionally all day and showed great control and composure in all of the technical work. Winning both punt competitions does not happen often, but it goes to show the caliber of day Fabien had. Looking forward to Vegas XXXV, Fabien should once again be in the mix to go deep into the finals!

Caleb Bonesteel (2021, GA) – Chase had his best performance yet at a Chris Sailer Kicking camp. The long time CSK Kicker was impressive on field goal from start to finish. He won the Field Goal Competition by going 5-6 with a long of 54 yards. He then won the Finals Round by nailing back to back 50 yard field goals. Caleb was also strong on kickoffs. He has a bright college future with continued hard work. Look for Caleb to compete with the best of the best at Vegas XXXV.

Caden Costa (2021, LA) – Caden continues to prove that he is one of the very best prospects in America in the Class of 2021. He won the Kickoff Competition by averaging 65+ yards, with 3.85+ hang time. His best ball measured 65 yards, with 4.19 hang time. He was also excellent on field goal. Caden get the ball up well and and easily has 55 yard range. Look for Caden to dominate Vegas XXXV and compete for a TOP 12 Spot.

Braeden Haynes (2021, TN) – Braeden has been a model of consistency at Chris Sailer Kicking camps for several years now. He won the Punt Competition by averaging 40+ yards, with 4.0+ hang time. He was solid and consistent on field goal all day. Braeden also did very well on kickoff. He has all the the tools to be and excellent combo player at the next level. Braeden has a bright future with continued hard work. Look for him to do big things at Vegas XXXV.

Bradley Cass (2021, GA) – Bradley did very well at his first Chris Sailer Kicking camp. He won the Punt Competition by being one of the more consistent performers at camp. He is a great looking athlete with nice future college potential. Bradley averages 40+ yards with solid hang time. I look forward to helping him develop his game over the next few years. Keep a close eye on him at Vegas XXXV. He could be a breakout candidate.

Chris Sailer Kicking Featured Instructor – Carson Wiggs

This is our fifth week of a new series where we feature our amazing instructors. This will allow you learn more about these young men and why they have been chosen to represent CSK nationwide.

Week 5: Chris Sailer Kicking Senior Instructor, Carson Wiggs!

Carson Wiggs is a former place kicker. He has been on staff with Chris Sailer Kicking since 2008.

Wiggs attended South Grand Prairie High School in South Grand Prairie Texas. As a senior, he was invited to participate in the Under Armour All America Game in January 2008. He was also named honorable mention all-state and first team all-district as both punter and kicker, after averaging 37 yards per punt and making 8 of 13 field goals, while still maintaining his grades to earn honorable mention academic all-state.

Wiggs was a standout kicker at Purdue University from 2009-2012. He finished his college career ranked number one in program history in field goal percentage and third in field goals made. Wiggs has totaled the top four longest field goals in Purdue Boilermakers history, one being 59 yards.

He was considered as one of the better kicking prospects for the 2012 NFL Draft, as he was one of the few kickers selected to participate in the NFL Combine, but he was not selected during the draft. He did sign with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent and later with the Indianapolis Colts.

Carson currently lives in Dallas Forth Worth with his wife, Lori. He is a Project Manager for the Beck Group in Fort Worth, TX. He also works the Texas camps with Chris Sailer giving valuable instruction.

He offers private and group lessons throughout the year for aspiring kickers and punters in Texas.

2019 TX Fall Camp Recap – Little Impresses!

The 2019 Chris Sailer Kicking Fall Camp Tour continued this past weekend in Dallas, TX. This Fall CSK along with Rubio Long Snapping will make stops in NC, NJ, WA, Southern CA, TX, IL, AZ, GA and Northern CA on the road to Vegas XXXV (January 18-19, 2020). All in all 1300+ Specialists are expected to participate in the largest season circuit in the history of the company. At the end of it all, Chris Sailer Kicking will once again name the 1st 20 Kickers/Punters selected to participate in the prestigious TOP 12 Invitation Only Camp at Vegas XXXV. And for the first time ever, Chris Sailer will select 2 Kickers and 2 Punters to play in the All-American Bowl on NBC live on location at Vegas XXXV. Hang on as this is going to be an incredible ride.

Cameron Little (2021, OK) – Cameron put on an impressive performance at his first Chris Sailer Kicking camp. He won the Field Goal competition by going 7-7 including kicks of 35, 40, 47, 52, 57, 62 and 65 yards. Cameron was also strong on kickoff averaging 65+ yards with 4.0 second hang time. He is also a very strong punter. Cameron is a big time D1 prospect that should dominate Vegas XXXV in January and challenge for a TOP 12 Spot. Big things ahead. OFFER NOW!!!

Chase Allen (2020, TX) – Chase proved himself as a major college talent from start to finish. He has a huge leg and tremendous upside. Chase swept the Kickoff Competition by averaging 70+ yards with 4.0+ hang time. He he hits a clean ball on field goal and easily has 55+ yard range. Chase is also a more than capable punter. His best ball of the day was a 55 yard, 5.01 punt. He might be the biggest sleeper in the nation in the Class of 2020. He will compete with the very best at Vegas XXXV. OFFER NOW!!!
