Which Camps Should I Attend?

I get asked hundreds of questions per day.  I post to social media and write blogs to make finding answers to these questions easier.  Perhaps the most common question that we get asked is…. “Which camps should I attend?”

I can understand why this question comes up so often.  There are so many options out there that it can become confusing.   After 17 years in the business, I know the value of great instruction, the value of education, and perhaps most importantly, the value of exposure.  I make choices each year to offer our clients the best possible options to achieve success.  Chris Sailer Kicking remains #1 in the business for that reason.  High school coaches, college coaches and NFL coaches trust in Chris Sailer Kicking.  The proof is in the results.

Las Vegas, TOP 12, US Army All-America Bowl, Underclassman Invitational, Fall / Spring / Summer 1-Day Regional Camps, FBU Youth All-American Games, Australian Scout Camps, College Training Camp & NFL Training Camps, NFL Combines, College Camps.  Many have tried to copy the model that Chris Sailer Kicking has created, but there is a reason why we are #1 in the World.  Experience, real relationships with everyone that matters in this business & the best instruction available across the world.  If you want to make it as a kicker or punter Welcome to Chris Sailer Kicking.

Both January & May are set up exactly the same way.  Both are equally important.  If you want to be the best, attend both.  These are THE MOST IMPORTANT camps of the year.  Camp includes instruction, competition, evaluations and rankings.  The TOP 12 Web Series (beginning in 2017) will capture and offer the ultimate exposure. These are NOT camps you need to be invited to.  They provide great experience for all specialists.
Arrive Friday.  January Event ends at 6:00 PM on Sunday.  May Event ends at 4:00 PM on Sunday.  Open to 8th Graders, Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Junior College and 4-Year Transfers.   The TOP 12 will be selected from both events.

Underclassmen Invitational Camp: This is a 2-Day Camp.  Open to Sophomores, Freshman, 8th Graders, 7th Graders and sometimes 6th Graders.  This camp is designed for both the specialists & THEIR PARENTS.  Camp time is spent equally on the filed and in the classroom.  This camp will educate you for years to come from A-Z when it comes to the world of kicking and punting. Camp includes instruction, competition, classroom seminars, evaluation and rankings.  This is an Invite Only camp.  You will receive an invitation directly from Chris Sailer.  Camp is held in Tampa, FL.

The TOP 12 Camp: This is a 2-Day Camp.  This is an Invite Only Camp.  The only way to get invited to this camp is to attend the Las Vegas Events.  January =  20 Kickers/Punters will be selected. Notes:
I recommend attending the TOP GUN Camp every year. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl & FBU Youth All-American Bowl participants are selected by me at this camp.
When prioritizing camps, Vegas Events should always come first.
All camps offer instruction, competition, evaluation and national rankings.
Highlight videos are available at the 1-Day Regional Camps, Las Vegas Events and Invite Camps.
Every camp has SOLD OUT for the past 12 years.  Register early.
Chris Sailer will no longer run college camps as the NCAA has passed a rule no longer allowing any non university employee to serve as instructors at these camps.

This might seem like we are asking a lot of you.  You are right, we are.  An opportunity to play college football or perhaps in the NFL is HUGE.  We will give you that opportunity.  The harder you work, the more time you invest, the reality of reaching your goals will come true.  It is very competitive out there.  Those who work the hardest and understand the process stay one step ahead of the game.  See you at a Chris Sailer Kicking camp soon!

Chris Sailer Kicking News – 2017 College Camps

Chris Sailer of Chris Sailer Kicking and Chris Rubio of Rubio Long Snapping will NOT be running any college specialist camps during the summer of 2017.  The NCAA has passed a new rule (April 2017) that prohibits us from coaching at these camps.   The SEC, PAC-12,  BIG 12, etc. have informed us that it would be against NCAA rules to hire us, or anyone else that attempts to do what we do, as they have in the past.

Most University specialist camps will proceed as usual, but will simply be run by the college football staffs themselves.  We still encourage attendance at these camps for 2018 prospects.  However, as always we caution you as to how many you choose to attend.  We recommend 3-5 of these camps total.  It is important that you are always fresh and healthy at these camps.  Never snap on back to back days, especially with the travel involved.  Remember, word of mouth will spread very quickly among coaches.  Three to five strong performances will go a long way.  One poor performance will spread even quicker.

Rest assured, Rubio and I will be in communication with nearly every program in the nation. College coaches will know who the top Sailer and Rubio prospects are, well before the camps.  Having said that, be sure to attend camps that match your athletic and academic abilities. Best of luck and be sure to keep us posted on your experiences and performances.
