2018 TX Spring Camp Recap – Rauschenberg Dominates!

The 2018 Chris Sailer Kicking Spring Camp Tour is nearing its end. One of the final stops prior to Vegas XXXII was made in Dallas, TX on Sunday April 29. This location has been one of the most talented for many years now. Three TOP 12 camp invitees were in attendance and several others will be in contention come May 12-13 in Las Vegas. There was a fantastic blend of experienced CSK veterans and impressive newcomers. All in all, once again well over 100 specialists were in attendance ready to learn and compete. Take a look at the results.

Reed Kieny, Noah Rauschenberg, Nick Hill

Overall Camp ChampionNoah Rauschenberg (2019, OK)
Noah stepped up with a dominating performance in Dallas. The Chris Sailer Kicking veteran was on fire in all areas of his game from start to finish. On this day he won 2 of the 4 major competitions. He went 6-6 on field goal with a long of 60 yards to win the first field goal competition. He won the kickoff competition by averaging over 70 yards with 3.8+ hang time. His best ball measured 82 yards with 3.9 hang time (wind aided). He was also a punt finalist. Noah didn’t miss a kick in the finals round proving to all that he is a major D1 prospect.

Field Goal ChampionReed Kieny (2020, TX)
Reed had his best camp yet with Chris Sailer Kicking. He continues to get stronger and stronger and is growing in confidence with each camp he attends. He won the second major field goal competition by hitting 6 consecutive field goals with a long of 57 yards. Reed also impressed on kickoffs. He is on his way to a bright college future with continued hard work. Look for Reed to compete with the best in his class the next few years.

Punt ChampionNick Hill (2020, CA)
Nick is a talented combo (K/P) prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. He focused on punting at this particular camp and it paid off. He averaged near 40 yards with 4.0+ hang time. Nick also showed the ability to hit 45+ yard punts with 4.4+ hang time. He won the major punting competition by staying consistent and outlasting a talented field. Nick has the potential to one day compete as both a kicker and punter at the college level.

Top 2018 ProspectAlex Stadhaus (2018, TX)
The recent USC commit was stellar once again. Coming off a huge 2018 fall with Chris Sailer Kicking, he was dominant again in Dallas. He excels most on kickoffs where he averages 70+ yards with 4.0+ hang time. He also has the tools to compete at the next level on field goal. Alex is a hard work with a great head on his shoulders with a bright college future.

Top NewcomerJoseph McFadden (2021, TX)
Joseph stood out immediately. He has a huge leg for his age and was competing with rising seniors with ease. He already hits a college level ball on field goal off the ground. Joseph also shows he can hit a big time kickoff. This is a name you will be hearing for years to come. I am excited to see what his future holds with Chris Sailer Kicking. He has the tools to be special.

So You Didn’t Make TOP 12, What Now?

For the past few weeks, you have been waiting anxiously to see if you were going to be selected to the TOP 12 Camp.  When the first 20 selections were announced, 20 kickers / punters were ecstatic.  Hundreds of others were upset, frustrated, angry, etc…. rightfully so.  As athletes and competitors the desire to succeed should run deep.

Couple ways to look at it….

You can be upset with me for not selecting you. You can be upset with yourself for not performing when it counted. You can even find a way to blame others, but, it is ultimately on you. The only thing you can control is how hard and smart you work. Everyone in Vegas is competing for the same spots. Don’t let anybody outwork you and you will see different results.

You need to use this as motivation to make sure you perform better. This is all up to you. The choice is yours.

If you are a Kicker / Punter that strives to be the best, you want to be at that TOP 12 camp this summer. Any single athlete that has been there (scholarship Kickers / Punters, All-Americans, NFL players) will tell you it is, by far, the best camp they have ever been to in their life. What you need to do is get back on the horse. Work smarter and harder. Your opportunity is waiting for you in Las Vegas. VEGAS XXXII

At Vegas XXXII, I will choose 20 additional TOP 12 Camp Invitees.  They will join the first 20 selected at the Invite Only TOP 12 Camp this summer.   This is a true invite only camp. I do NOT just hand out invites to get people to come to it. That would give me no credibility. I choose the best because they are the best. They will represent the TOP 12 and Chris Sailer Kicking forever.

Are you one of them? Time to decide. Prove to me, and the rest of the world, that you belong.

Or don’t. THE CHOICE IS YOURS…..

Who will make it in 2018?

Underclassmen
The future kicking, punting & long snapping stars gathered in Bradenton, FL for the 2016 Chris Sailer Kicking Underclassmen Invitation July 21-22, 2016.  Well over 150 participants from over 30 states and other countries in the classes of 2021, 2020, 2019 & 2018 traveled  to Florida to be a part of this prestigious invitation only camp.  This has become one of our most popular camps of the year!  It is the ultimate chance for both athletes and their parents to bond, build friendships and learn about the world of kicking, punting and long snapping.  The future is looking bright with this group! Take a look at the results…

Day 1

Field Goal Champions

Class of 2019 & Younger
Carson Garrett (2019, TX) – Carson is an excellent young kicker.  He is a great athlete with elite leg strength.  He is already hitting a college level ball off the ground on field goals.  He is also very strong on kickoff and also showing punting ability.

Class of 2018
Ashton Garner – (2018, MS) – Ashton is a talented rising junior.  He has a big leg and competes very well under pressure.  He has all the tools to compete with the best in his class.  Ashton is an athlete with great upside.

Day 2

Field Goal Champions

Class of 2019 & Younger
Griffin Crosa (2019, OH) – Griffin is an outstanding young kicker.  He has a strong leg and kicks with great technique and consistency.  The long time Chris Sailer Kicking student is always a steady performer.  He is stepping up more and more with each camp.  The future is bright for Griffin.

Class of 2018
Wesley Wells (2018, GA) – Wesley is a gifted specialist.  Another great athlete with strong potential.  He shows he can hit an elite ball off the ground and also competes very well.  There is a lot of upside here. I expect Wesley to continue to develop into one of the best.

Kickoff Champion

Brayden Narveson (2018, TX) – Brayden is a big time talent.  He has an explosive leg and tremendous natural ability.  He hits a strong ball off the ground on field goals and competes with the best on kickoffs.  His best ball on the day was 64 yards with 4.07 hang time.  And he has only scratched the surface of what he is capable of.

Punt Champion

Class of 2019 & Younger
Carson Garrett (2019, TX) – Carson proved his all around ability by also stepping up and winning the punting competition for his division.  Carson is a outstanding future prospect.
