He was a Lou Groza Award Finalist in 1997. He set multiple records while at UCLA including longest field goal of 56 yards (still stands).  He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers and went on to enjoy an 7 year professional career.

The National Placekicker of the Year is named in honor of Chris Sailer for his outstanding high school career and nearly single handedly changing the world of kicking and punting as we know it.  Chris is now the most prominent private kicking and punting  coach in World.  He has made the positions of kicking and punting  a specialty and is revered around the country through his website, as well as camps.  Through his training and development of young kickers and punter, almost 100 high school and junior college kicking & punting specialists now receive full ride scholarships each year for their skill in that position.

Chris Sailer Kicking Australian Import Brad Craddock Wins the Lou Groza Award!

In February of 2011 Chris Sailer Kicking made its annual trip to Australia to scout international talent through OzPunt.Net  I usually scout 40 plus punters that have aspirations of playing college football in the U.S . and/or playing in the NFL.  Very few athletes in Australia want to pursue kicking in the U.S.  But in 2011, I found a rare talent.  His name was….Brad Craddock.  At the time he was beyond raw.  I started with 3 steps back and 2 steps over.  Within a few hours, I knew he could play college football.

A few months later, with some convincing, he landed a scholarship to the University of Maryland. Since then, he has gone on to break record after record, surpassing Chris Sailer Kicking’s own Obi Egekeze.  And tonight he put the cherry on top, taking home the 2014 Lou Groza Award present the the College Placekicker of the Year.  Congratulations to Brad and his family.  OzPunt also deserves great recognition.

Chris Sailer Kicking will again travel to Australia in February of 2015.  Who will be next?

Chris Sailer Kicking – 2014 CA Fall Camp Recap

The Chris Sailer Kicking 2014 Fall/Winter Camp Tour is underway!  The tour will include over 1000 specialists with stops in CA, IL, NC, GA, TX and NV.   The first stop was in Los Angeles, CA.  Over 150 specialists from over 10 states were in attendance to get top notch instruction and compete for the ultimate national exposure.  Take a look at the results:

Overall Camp Champion: Brandon Gracia (JC CA) – The longtime Chris Sailer Kicking had an outstanding day.  He competed head to head with the best of the best and stepped up when it counted the most.  He won the kickoff competition on this day and hit a 55 yard field goal to win the camp.

Field Goal Champion: Jake Roberts (2016 CA) – Jake was one of the top field goal kickers all day long.  The lefty is smooth and extremely accurate.  He is proving that he is a top national prospect and should be in the hunt for “TOP 12” this January in Las Vegas.

Punt Champion: Erik Harris (JC CA) – Erik is a solid Kicker / Punter combo prospect.  He is a great athlete with tremendous leg strength.  Field goals, kickoffs and punts all show D1 promise.  Look for Erik to turn the heads of college coaches around the nation.
