Chris Sailer Kicking – COLLEGE CAMP

Every year, Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping hold a College Camp for all the Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers that are currently playing at a 4-Year College and/or headed to play at a 4-Year College. This summer, we simply could not find a suitable time to run one SO we have come up with the following plan….

Any Kicker, Punter and/or Long Snapper that is currently at a 4-Year College and/or headed to a 4-Year College can come to any of our personal camps (IL, GA, NC, TX, CA, Underclassmen Event) for free to work with Sailer / Rubio and also assist with younger specialists. This is a great way to knock off the rust, get ready for the season and inspire the next generation. You will get all of the instruction throughout the day, but simply won’t be able to partake in the competitions. Plus, it will require less travel, this summer, for the college athletes.

We will definitely try to create a block of time next summer for the College Camp but, until then, just contact Chris Sailer (818) 818-209-8921 or Chris Rubio 626-260-2524 to join us this summer.

Los Angeles, CA – June 21-22
Chicago, IL – July 13
Dallas, TX – July 15
Charlotte, NC – July 26
Atlanta, GA – July 27
Los Angeles, CA – July 30

The New Website

After a long, long time, the new Chris Sailer Kicking website is officially up!

As you obviously know, the old site had been locked for some time to build the new site. (It is a whole bunch of techo mumbo jumbo that I can explain later to you if you really care to know why we couldn’t just build a separate site with old one still running)

We have made it so that it is much cleaner, more professional and easier to navigate. I think, no, I know, you will love it.

The site actually went live last night at about 9:30 pm past. They say it can take up to 48 hours for the new site to show up all over the world but it rarely does. I was able to see it within 5 minutes. Bottom line, if you still see the old site, don’t stress, the new one is coming to you shortly.

As for rankings from GA, IL and FL (FBU) camps… I am now actively working on these.  They will be completed as quickly as I possibly can.  Stay tuned to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for updates.

Enjoy the new site & welcome to an even better Chris Sailer Kicking!

Chris Sailer Kicking made a recent stop in Chicago, IL to work with many of the region’s top specialists.  The weather was outstanding and the results reflected the ideal conditions.  The camp featured a great mixture of new young talent and experienced college prospects.  Take a look at the results.

Camp Champion:
Jacob LaFree (2015, IN) – Jacob is an extremely talented kicker.  He has one of the strongest legs in the nation and continues to prove that he is a D1 prospect.  On this day he took home the punting championship, but he also competed very well on field goals and kickoffs.  He won the head to head finals round by nailing back to back 52 yard field goals off the ground.  Look for Jacob to catch the eyes of many D1 coaches this spring and summer.

Field Goal Champion:
Phil Oravecz (2015, IL) – Phil did a great job on field goals.  He stepped up when it counted the most and won the field goal charting competition.  Phil already kicks off the ground and shows excellent college potential.  Keep a close eye on him this coming year.

Kaden Keon – Kaden is a excellent overall prospect.  He has a big leg and kicks with nice consistency.  He shows the tools to be a top prospect in his class.  Field goals, kickoffs and punts all show strong potential.  I expect Kaden to have a bright future.

•    Arrive Friday May 9th.  The earlier that you arrive, the more well rested you will be for the weekend.
•    Plan on being at camp until 5PM Sunday May 11th.  There is no way of knowing if you will make the Finals Round Sunday until you and all other participants have completed the initial round of charting Sunday morning.  Whether you make the Finals Round or not, you should plan on staying on watching the Finals Round.  Get the full experience from the camp!

•    The 12th Annual National Kicking Spring Event gives you a chance to make the “Event Elite”.  There is NO set number of specialists that will be selected.  The number selected is based on the number of participants that can compete at that VERY HIGHEST LEVEL.  Usually 15-20 are selected to join the “TOP 12″ at the most prestigious Invite Only Camp in the world.  CLICK HERE
•    Think you are good enough to make the “Event Elite” – CLICK HERE to see who you are competing with and to get a little history about the “TOP 12″ & “Event Elite”

Questions Regarding the College Camps

As you know, hopefully, Chris Rubio and I have posted the schedule of college camps we will be running this summer. Trust me when I tell you, we could have run another 50 of them for the coaches that asked us, but we simply don’t have time. You see, we will personally be at each one of these camps. We will not send someone in our place. We will be at each and every one, plus our camps and the FBU Camps.

Here are the top five questions regarding the college camps….

  1. How do you get invited?  You don’t. They are open to all 9th graders – juniors. Some schools might be a tad different so check on their respective site. Younger Kicker/Punters should focus on the regional Chris Sailer Kicking one day camps and FBU camps run by Chris Sailer Kicking.
  2. How do I sign up for the camp(s)?  You go to their football site and register. You can also call the football office.
  3. At what age do you recommend my son goes to a college camp?  The time to shine will be in between his junior and senior summer (unless you are a freak, in a good way, and then I would highly recommend dominating between sophomore and junior year). However, I personally recommend going as early as possible to cut the jitters. It can be very stressful kicking/punting in front of a high profile coach and you want to get the feeling out of the way early, when they most likely won’t be paying attention to you.
  4. Will the camp(s) be run like your personal camps?  Not really. I am hired to run their camp so I am on their schedule. But we will organize these camps as best as possible, very similar to what you see at Chris Sailer Kicking camps.  Note:  If you are at a college camp that I am not running, godspeed.
  5. Will you be ranking from the college camps?  No. Per NCAA rules, I am not allowed to rank and/or evaluate from the college camps. You could be absolutely phenomenal and I would not be able to rank you or invite to the “TOP 12” and “EVENT ELITE” Camp. If you are at a college camp and someone does invite you to their “invite only” camp, they are breaking a very big rule.
  6. Read two recent blogs that I wrote about college camps that you will find very beneficial.  1. Information on College Camps: CLICK HERE 2. What to do before, after and during a college camp: CLICK HERE

If you any other questions, please feel free to email me Chris@ChrisSailerKicking.com or Text me at 818-209-8921.

2014 Chris Sailer Kicking – GA Spring Camp Recap

Chris Sailer Kicking recently wrapped up the third of five major spring camps.  Atlanta, GA is always the site of some of the best assembled talent and competition in the country.  Once again, over 100 specialists from Georgia and many of the surrounding regional states were on hand to showcase their abilities.  Take a look at the results.

Overall Camp Champion: Blanton Creque (2015, KY) – Blanton is an outstanding field goal kicker.  He kicks with great consistency off the ground and competes very well under pressure.  The longtime Chris Sailer Kicking student continues to prove that he will excel at the D1 level.

Field Goal Champion: Shawn Davis (2015, GA) – Shawn is a big time talent.  A big, tall, strong athlete that continues to improve each time that we see him.  He has a big leg and has outstanding potential.  He came through on this day by nailing back to back 50 yard field goals to win it.

Kickoff Champion: Josh Williams (2015, TX) – Josh was the most talented overall kicker at the camp.  His field goals are D1 ready off the ground.  His kickoffs are amongst the very best in his class.  And he also shows nice punting ability.  Josh is a great D1 scholarship prospect.

Punt Champion: JJ Jerman (2014, TN) – JJ is an excellent all around prospect.  His punting has come a long way.  He punts for outstanding distance and hang time with great consistency.  Also a very solid kicker.  JJ is developing at a great pace and is on track to play for a D1 program.

Class of 2014 Standouts:
Dallas Kepler (GA) – The Chris Sailer Kicking “TOP 12” Kicker and recent Arkansas State commit had another excellent day.  His field goals are smooth and consistent off the ground and his kickoffs are D1 ready.  Dallas should make an immediate impact at the college level next year.

Class of 2015 Standouts:
Tommy Townsend (FL) – Tommy is one of the most talented punters in the nation.  He is a great athlete with a big time leg.  His potential is through the roof.  He has picked up one offer from Colorado and should receive many more this spring and summer.

Hayes Foster (TN) – Hayes did a great job all day long.  He is a good looking athlete with a strong leg.  He hits a nice consistent ball off the ground and his kickoffs are also nearing college ready.  Hayes has all the tools to kick on Saturdays.

Mason McLean (AL) – Mason is a top kicker / punter combo prospect.  He has a big leg and shows great potential in all three areas of the game.  Mason does well under pressure and works as hard as anyone out there.

Trey Blasingame (GA) – Trey is one of the most consistent kickers in the nation.  It seems like he never has a bad day.  The longtime Chris Sailer Kicking student had a solid day once again from start to finish.  He has all the tools to play college football.  Look for Trey to have an outstanding summer impressing college coaches.

Laszlo Toser (TN) – Laszlo is an impressive kicking prospect.  He has shown tremendous improvement from camp to camp and is proving that he belongs amongst the best of the best.  His field goals get great height off the ground.  His kickoffs are also solid.  He is an excellent D1 prospect.

Other Class of 2015 Standouts: Chris Bruce, Cooper Gresham, Justin Peachy, Logan Mathes, Michael Bernier.

Class of 2016 Standouts:
James McCourt – James made a big impression at his first Chris Sailer Kicking camp.  He is a great athlete with a very strong leg.  James kicks with ease and is very smooth.  His kickoffs, field goals and punts all show great potential.

Luke Logan  – Luke has one of the strongest legs in the nation in his class.  He hits a huge ball at times.  I expect him to compete with the best of the best in his class.  Big time potential here.

Alex Woznick – Alex is a great kicking prospect.  He has a  big leg and hits an excellent ball off the ground.  His kickoffs are also showing great college potential.  Alex continues to improve each time that we see him.  Kicks well under pressure.

Oren Milstein – Oren is an excellent kicker.  He has a big leg and makes kicks with nice consistency.  His field goals and kickoffs are both strong.  He competes well under pressure.  I expect him to have a great future.

Harrison Kiser – Harrison is a very good kicker.  A good looking athlete that shows great overall potential.  He has the tools to compete amongst the best in his class.  Keep a close eye on him the next few years.

Other Class of 2016 Standouts: Barry Brown, Brandon Howard, Jake Veridy, Logan Wheat.

Chris Sailer Kicking will next travel to Chicago, IL (March 30), Dallas, TX (April 27), and Los Angeles, CA (May 4).  The Spring Camp Tour will conclude with the 12th Annual National Kicking Spring Event in Las Vegas May 10-11, 2014!

MAJOR Update Regarding Registrations and Website

For the rest of the month, you will need to email me directly at Chris@ChrisSailerKicking.com to register for a camp. I will personally send you a form and your registration will be done the same way with a credit card from that point on.

It will all be a very simple process and it will run smoothly.

The reason for the change is that Rubio and I are currently going through a MASSIVE overhaul of the website. This has been in the works for SEVERAL months and, at this point, the old/current site has to be locked down. In locking the site down, all rankings (GA Camp) will have to be postponed and now will be up April 27 (IL rankings from 3/30 will be up by April 27 as well).

The new site will, guarantee, be the best looking and most efficient site you will use. We have gone through every aspect of the new design to make sure it is clean, precise and easy to use while still delivering the most exposure through its content for our athletes. It is going to look gorgeous and be very smooth.

Be ready as it will be up by the first week of April. You will NOT be disappointed.

So You Didn’t Make “TOP 12″… What Now?

For the past month or so, you have been watching the TOP 12 Kickers / Punters get chosen one by one.  Each time a selection was made, one person was ecstatic while countless others felt the opposite emotions. When the final TOP 12er was chosen and a balloon was popped for many 2015, 2016 and even some 2017 Kickers / Punters. Now what?

Couple ways to look at it….

You can be upset with me for not selecting you. You can be upset with yourself for not performing when it counted. You can even find a way to blame others, but, it is ultimately on you. The only thing you can control is how hard and smart you work. Everyone in Vegas is competing for the same spots. Don’t let anybody outwork you and you will see different results.

You need to use this as motivation to make sure you perform better. This is all up to you. The choice is yours.

If you are a Kicker / Punter that strives to be the best, you want to be at that “TOP 12” camp this summer. Any single athlete that has been there (scholarship Kickers / Punters, All-Americans, NFL players) will tell you it is, by far, the best camp they have ever been to in their life. What you need to do is get back on the horse. Work smarter and harder. Your opportunity is waiting for you in May at the Spring Event in Las Vegas.

At the Spring Event, I choose the “EVENT ELITE”. The “EVENT ELITE” is the best of the best from Vegas in May. They join the “TOP 12” to form the “TOP 12” and “EVENT ELITE” Invite Only Camp on June 18-20, 2014 in Los Angeles. There is no set number for the “EVENT ELITE”. I could choose one K/P or I can choose 30. It all depends on the talent. I don’t choose just to choose. It would make me look ignorant in the end. If I say you belong at that camp, you are one of the best in the world. This is a true invite only camp. I do NOT just hand out invites to get people to come to it. That would give me no credibility. I choose the best because they are the best. They will represent the “TOP 12”, “ EVENT ELITE” and Chris Sailer Kicking the best in the future.

Are you one of them? Time to decide. Prove to me, and the rest of the world, that you belong.

Or don’t.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS…..
