Evan McPherson Comes Out On Top In Charlotte!

The road to Vegas XXIX continued with a stop in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 20th.  This was the largest fall camp to date filled with big time talent.  Dozens of athletes in attendance will soon be making an impact on Saturdays. The competition to make TOP 12 is heating up.  Take a look at the results.

img_2507Overall Camp Champion:
Evan McPherson (2018, AL) – The longtime Chris Sailer Kicking specialist is the real deal.  He is smooth and accurate on field goals and kicks with great consistency.  He has a D1 kickoff leg.  On this day he won the kickoff competition by hitting several balls over 70 yards with 4.0+ hang time.  Evan is also a strong punting prospect.  Overall he is a confident performer that does very well under pressure.

img_2520Field Goal Champions:
Nicolas Sciba (2018, SC) – Nicolas is proving that he has the tools to be an excellent college kicker/punter.  On this day he won a major field goal competition by hitting on 90% of his field goals with range up to 55 yards.  He averages over 65 yards on kickoffs with solid hang time.  He is also one of the more consistent punters in his class.  Nicolas has a great head on his shoulders and competes with the best of them.

Field Goal Champion
Camden Lewis (2019) – Camden became the youngest champion on this summer tour to date.  He is a very talented kicker that continues to improve at a great rate.  He is already kicking field goals off the ground and showing 50+ yard range.  His kickoffs are also near the top of his class. Keep a close eye on this one.

Recap Of Vegas XXVIII

Chris Sailer Kicking traveled to Las Vegas on May 21-22nd, 2016 for VEGAS XXVIII!

Specialists from 40 states & three countries all traveled to Vegas to learn from the best, get the top instruction and the most exposure possible for Kickers & Punters.  All in all the 2 Vegas Events in 2016 brought in well over 1000 Specialists, making it the largest Exposure Camp in World for Kickers, Punters & Long Snappers.

The overall camp champions were Christopher Dunn (2018, NC) & Tommy Martin (2017, VA)!  After falling just short at Vegas XXVII in January losing in the final round, Christopher was focused and determined.  This is the first time a sophomore has won Vegas in quite some time.  He did so in flying fashion nailing 8 straight 2 point field goals and not missing all day on Sunday.  Tommy Martin was equally as impressive on the punting side.  He had an eye opening charting session and followed it up by ousting some of the very best in the head to head finals rounds.  He defeated Tucker Day, the #2 Punter in the nation in the semi-finals and took out last years Vegas XXVI champion Aidan Daily in the finals.  Both Christopher & Tommy will be big time college football players.

Meet the “TOP 12” Class of 2017

In 2003, Chris Sailer Kicking established the biggest kicking, punting, and long snapping camp the world had ever seen, The National Kicking Competition.  The camp brought in the best of the best from across the nation to compete at one location.  The camp established credible recruiting rankings and evaluations for kickers, punters, and long snappers that college coaches across the country would use for years to come.  The camp, now simply known as VEGAS takes place in Las Vegas each year in January.
Every athlete comes with one major goal in common, making the prestigious “TOP 12”.  This is THE exposure list to be on for national exposure.  The twelve best underclassmen in the nation are identified for the Kicking/Punting positions.  The best of the best are then invited to the exclusive, invite only,“TOP 12” camp that following summer.  College coaches take notice, and scholarships are awarded.

To get an idea for what the “TOP 12” is all about, take a look at some of the very best over the years:  Ryan Succop (South Carolina & Tennessee Titans), Kai Forbath (UCLA, Lou Groza Award Winner, & New Orleans Saints), Dan Bailey (Oklahoma State, Lou Groza Award Winner & Dallas Cowboys), & Randy Bullock (Texas A&M, Lou Groza Award Winner, & New York Jets), Bryan Anger (CAL & Jacksonville Jaguars), Brad Nortman (Wisconsin & Carolina Panthers), Blair Walsh (Georgia & Minnesota Vikings), Justin Tucker (Texas, Baltimore Ravens & Super Bowl Champion), Jeff Locke (UCLA & Minnesota Vikings), Cody Parkey (Auburn, Philadelphia Eagles), Tress Way (Oklahoma & Washington Redskins), Ka’imi Fairbairn (UCLA, Lou Groza Award Winner & Houston Texans).  Just to name a few!

Meet the “TOP 12″ Class of 2017!
